Terms & Conditions of Hire
- Please note that we do not take cash payment.
- All bookings are operated through our online booking calendar requiring payment in full. We are unable to hold or reserve bikes unless they have been booked and paid for through our online booking system.
- In the event of cancellation your hire date can be rescheduled or the hire fee refunded up to 14 days before the hire date. No changes can be made within 14 days of the hire date.
- A deposit of £200 is taken when hiring the Ebike and is refunded on return of the Ebike on time and undamaged.
- Under the terms of our hire agreement, accident and/or crash damage is chargeable to the hirer whilst the Ebike is in your possession. Please note this also includes:
- Deliberate or reckless abuse.
- Theft of the bike.
- Incorrect adjustment of the bike by the hirer.
- We reserve the right to terminate the hire agreement and take possession of hire bikes, without refund if, in the opinion of company staff, the bikes are being used in a reckless manner or being wilfully abused.
- Helmets are included in the bike hire price and we strongly recommend their use for the hirers personal safety.
- Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
- Ebikes may not be ridden by anyone below the age of 14 years old under UK law.
- We require photo ID (driving license or passport) to be left with us for the duration of the hire period.
- Rental period is from 09:30am until 4:30pm. Bikes returned late will be subject to a late return fee of £25.00 per 15 minutes overdue. Example - This would mean if you hire x2 bikes and return them at 4:45pm it would incur a late fee of £50.
- The Radrunner Ebikes are not designed for rugged offroad use, they are suitable for riding on public roads, designated cycle paths and canal paths. EBikes are not to be ridden through deepwater (anything over bottom bracket height). Bikes are not to be cycled outside of a 30 mile radius from the city of Bath unless written authorisation has been provided by company staff as an addendum to the hire agreement. Ebikes may not be used for competitive racing or any other type of organised event.
- We do not permit the fitting of child seats, child trailers or ‘tag-along’ style children’s trailer bikes to any of our hire bikes unless they are authorised Radpower accessories fitted by our own staff.
- Ebikes come supplied with flat pedals. If you would like to use your own pedals, please let us know at the time of booking and bring them along. No extra charge will be incurred, but they must only be fitted by our staff.
